Your air handler will be unable to operate without the main control board properly connected to the unit. The control board is made to control the gas valve, the igniter, all the sensors and the blower all together. The proper control board will have a matching part number that will fit in both the brand and specific model of your Nordyne M1BC086 unit. Be absolutely sure when you are choosing a replacement board due to so many small differences in heating and cooling systems.
What happens when my Nordyne control board is on its last leg?
- The entire system has to be powered down and back up rather frequently in order to continue running
- The unit does not operate at all
