Nordyne M1M Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor is primarily in charge of cooling the compressor, because as the compressor gets hot the heat must be dispelled into the air. Take the time to ensure the replacement motor has the same voltage and correct amp current as it is on the current motor. The motor can be replaced individually as this results in a simpler type of replacement and it is something you can do yourself.
Important hints your fan motor is dying
- The Nordyne cooling motor cannot turn the blade
- The compressor cooling motor smells burnt makes a zapping sound as it turns
- You can hear a grinding noise as the motor stops
