Most systems will not function unless this important circuit board is installed as it should be according to the manufacturer. The control board is created to regulate everything including the gas valve, the ignition igniter, the flame sensor as well as the air circulator all at once. Be very careful while choosing a new control board due to the many differences between brand and air handler types. A control board that you have chosen will have to be compatible with both the brand and model of the unit in question.
