Nordyne M2RL-060A Transformer
A basic electrical transformer is a regular occurrence in most things electrical including your HVAC system as it usually converts electricity from one voltage to another. Transformers are all different and they should follow strict volts called for with the original. If a replacement is necessary, then it would be good to get one that is measured to the right voltage that is needed.
What warnings should I watch out for to know if my unit transformer has a need to be replaced?
- Incorrect voltage can be measured coming from the transformer
- Not a single volt exiting your transformer using a voltmeter
- The volt dropping transformer seems melted or smells burnt when in use
