Nordyne M2RL-080A Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor on the compressor has a specific duty of keeping the compressor cool, because as the compressor gets hot the heat has got to be discharged into the air outside. Just make sure you get the voltage that is the same and amps as it is on the current motor. The motor can be replaced individually as this tends to make installing it easier and cheaper too.
Important signs the condenser fan motor is in dire straights
- The Nordyne motor tries but fails to turn at all
- You can hear a rubbing or scraping sound while the motor starts
- The compressor cooling motor begins to smoke makes a zapping sound when it begins to turn
