Nordyne P3RC-036K Limit Switch
The limit switch is a switch located in the furnace that makes the determination if and when the air is actually warm enough to activate the main blower. The reason limit switches exist is due to the fact that if the air never warms up inside the exchanger the you will lose heat in the ducts and the vents will just blow cool air.
What happens when my limit switch has to be replaced?
- The Nordyne system is starting to run inconsistently on more than one occasion
- The heating and AC system will not even start or run well even though the desired temperature has not been attained
