Limit switches exist because if the warmed air is too cool the you will lose heat in the ducts and the vents will just blow cool air. The limit switch is a type of sensor switch in the air handler that can determine if and when the air is warmed to a point for the blower to be activated.
Some warnings to watch for in a bad main limit switch
- The system starts to stop suddenly often
- Your Panasonic system will not even start or run longer than 30 seconds
