A transformer is used frequently in anything electrical which includes your forced air system as it changes a normal current of electricity to an altered voltage to be used for some particular device. If you need a replacement, make sure you buy the one that is assessed for the correct voltage that is necessary. Transformers can all be different and must adhere to strict voltage readings.
