The flame sensor is one of the safety features that will sense the appropriate flame during the initial ignition of the furnace. As with most safety features, if the flame sensor is triggered the furnace cannot start again until the problem is fixed.
Key symptoms of a poorly working Panasonic flame sensor
- Your heating system is unable to generate heat whatsoever
- System kicks in rarely when it wants to
- The gas supplying the furnace has difficulty trying to begin an ignition sequence and the system throws an error code
