The control board is created to oversee everything including the gas valve, the igniter, all the sensors as well as the air circulator all at once. The system will cease to operate whatsoever unless this important circuit board is properly connected to the unit. A control board that you have chosen will have a matching part number that will fit in both the brand and model of your heating and cooling system. Be very careful upon choosing a board as a replacement due to differences in heating and cooling systems.
