Paragon W13 Flame Sensor
The flame sensor is a safety device that will consistently detect the acceptable flame during ignition. As with most safety features, if the sensor produces an error the entire HVAC system will stop until the problem is fixed.
Cues of a faulty Paragon flame sensor
- LP or natural gas refuses to begin an ignition sequence and some type of error flashes on the main board
- The gas furnace refuses to even start and spits out an error code on the main board
- The whole system will run infrequently at the stroke of midnight after the second full moon following the second Sunday of the month
