Limit switches are built due to the fact that if the air never warms up inside the exchanger the you will lose all the heat as the air flows through the ducts. The limit switch has a sensor in the air handler that decides when the heated air is warmed to a point so that it may be pushed through the ducts and out the vents.
Simple signals critical limit switch will have to be replaced
- System will not even start or run well for any length of time
- The system starts to erratically more often than not
