A basic electrical transformer is used frequently in anything electrical including your HVAC system as it transforms electricity from 120V to 24V, for example. If you are going to replace a transformer, be sure to purchase a transformer that is correctly rated for the correct voltage that is required. Transformers can have different specs and you should be aware of the specific voltage needs.

- Zero volts exiting the transformer for whatever reason
