Payne PG8MAA036070 Limit Switch
The limit switch is a switch in the heat exchanger that makes the determination if and when the air is actually warm enough that it can be circulated throughout the house. The main reason limit switches are made is due to the fact that if the air never warms up inside the exchanger the you will lose all the heat as the air flows through the ducts.
What are some indications that my chief limit switch is on its last leg?
- Your Payne system will not begin the ignition sequence or continue to run longer than 30 seconds
- The whole system is beginning to behave erratically more often than not
