A flame sensor is a device that can reliably detect the correct flame upon ignition. As you would probably could have guessed, if the flame sensor is triggered the furnace cannot start again until the problem is remedied and the system is reset.
Major warnings of a worsening flame sensor
- Your heating system refuses to supply heat when it is supposed to
- The whole system will operate on certain occasions but only on the third Wednesday of on months beginning on Thursday
- Any type of gas that has entered the furnace cannot begin igniting and the main board displays on error code
