A transformer is inside many electronic products including heating and cooling systems and it converts the electrical output usually from a higher voltage to a lower voltage. Heating and cooling transformers are all different and they should follow strict necessary voltage readings. When any transformer needs to be replaced, be sure to replace it with one that is properly rated for the voltage that is demanded.
What warnings are present when my main transformer really needs to be replaced?
- The volt dropping transformer physically appears cracked or you might notice sparking while in use
- Inexact volts is measured stemming from the main transformer
- Not a single volt coming from a main transformer block while being tested
