Payne PY1PNB024060AAAA Cooling Fan Motor
The compressor fan motor is primarily in charge of cooling the outdoor compressor, when heat is removed from the house, that heat that needs to be dispelled into the air. Be sure the new motor has the correct voltage listed and the same amps as on the current fan motor. The unit may be replaced with or without the blade, this may make it a lot easier and will reduce the costs you need to pay.
Clues to watch for to know the condenser fan motor has very little life left
- The motor starts to smoke makes a zapping sound while in use
- A constant crackling noise when the cooling fan is starting or stopping
- The Payne motor cannot turn the blade
