Payne PY1PNB042060 Flame Sensor
The flame sensor is only found on gas furnaces. It is a sensor that will reliable sense the appropriate flame upon ignition. As you could guess, if the flame sensor is triggered the gas valve is shut off and the system halts until the problem is repaired.
Clues to watch for to know the Payne flame sensor is in need of replacing
- The furnace runs infrequently only after the second full moon of the month on a Tuesday
- Your heating system refuses to produce any heat whatsoever
- The LP or natural gas cannot start an ignition sequence and shut down
