Payne PY2PNB024060AA Flame Sensor
The flame sensor is a safety device that senses the precise flame when the system starts. For obvious reasons, if the flame sensor is triggered the furnace will not start for as long as it takes to remedy the problem.
What to see if the safety flame sensor is almost going bad?
- The heat system cannot fire up and will shut everything down
- The gas that has entered the furnace refuses to try to ignite and the whole system shuts down
- The furnace will work on certain occasions but only on the third Wednesday of on months beginning on Thursday
