Payne PY2PNB036090AA Flame Sensor
The flame sensor is an important safety feature that can reliably detect the acceptable flame in accordance with the initial ignition sequence. As expected, if the flame sensor senses a problem the entire HVAC system will stop until the problem is repaired.
Some warnings the primary flame sensor should need replacing
- The type of gas you use refuses to try to begin an ignition sequence and shuts itself off
- The gas furnace is unable to produce any heat and produces an error code on the circuit board
- System kicks in sporadically at midnight, but only after the new moon following the fourth Monday of the month
