Conversion kits are not available for all HVAC systems. They can only be purchased for those that are designed to be able to handle a switch. A conversion kit could allow a furnace to convert burning from a single source of energy to perhaps something cheaper, such as from natural gas to propane that needs to be delivered or the other way around. If a conversion kit is available for your system it may be better to have it set up by a local pro, so it conforms to local code.
