SPT TN-09E Flame Sensor
The flame sensor is a very important part of the safety feature set that will reliable sense the appropriate flame when the system starts. As with other safety devices, if the flame sensor senses a problem the whole system stops until that particular problem is fixed.
Major warnings to watch for in a bad SPT flame sensor
- The gas refuses to begin igniting and some type of error flashes on the main board
- System will start intermittently at midnight, but only after the new moon following the fourth Monday of the month
- The heating system cannot produce heat when the thermostat kicks in
