SPT WA-1010E Control Board
Your air handler will be unable to operate whatsoever unless this board is properly connected to the unit. The control board is created to operate the gas valve, the igniter, all the various sensors as well as the blower all in one unit. The correct control board should have part numbers that match both the brand and specific model of the system you have installed. You must be sure when you choose a control board due to the many differences between systems.
Important clues of a defective primary control board
- Your HVAC unit cannot operate at all
- Power to the control board has to be powered down and back up a lot for the furnace or AC to kick on
- There seems to be a flashing error code being displayed somewhere on the board
