SPT WA-1010M Defrost Sensor Board
The defrost control board commences the defrosting phase which helps to rid your unit of frost that can build up. The control board looks to a temperature sensor located near the condenser to make the decision on when to initiate the defrosting cycle.
What symptoms are present when the outdoor defrost sensor board has a need to be replaced?
- The system will stop operating due to the frost issue
- Self defrost sequence will not initiate even though there is a large amount of frost built up
- The main board could display an error of some type when the defrost control board refuses to initialize properly
