SPT WA-1010M Flame Sensor
The flame sensor is one of the safety features that can reliably detect the precise flame when the system starts. As with most devices used for safety reason, if the sensor get triggered the gas valve is shut off and the system halts until the problem is remedied and the system is reset.
Major clues your flame sensor should be replaced
- System will run intermittently only after the second full moon of the month on a Tuesday
- The LP or natural gas has difficulty trying to begin igniting and the main board displays on error code
- The furnace will not even start and spits out an error code on the main board
