SPT WA-1150DE Expansion Valve
An expansion valve allows the coolant to expand back into gaseous form from its highly pressured liquid form. Your AC would not produce cooled air if it were to lack a properly working expansion valve.
Indications of a faulty expansion valve
- Air from the AC is not cold enough as it should be streaming from the vents
- The outdoor AC unit takes way too long in a bid to cool as it should
