A conversion kit allows a furnace to switch energy sources from one energy source to a different one, such as from oil to electric or the other way around. Energy conversion kits are definitely not available for every system made. They can only be purchased for a limited number of them that are built for switching. If a conversion kit is available for your system it may be better to have it set up by someone who has done it before, so it is done right.
