A conversion kit allows a furnace to switch energy sources from a single source of energy to another, such as from natural gas to electric or the other way around. Energy conversion kits are limited and are not made for all furnaces. Getting one is only possible for a limited number of them that are designed to be able to handle a switch. If you can find one you may want to consider having it fitted by your local HVAC guy, for safety reasons.
