SPT WA-7500M Cooling Fan Motor
The compressor fan motor is primarily in charge of cooling the outdoor compressor, this is needed because of the heat must be dispersed in order to keep things cool. It is important that the replacement motor has the proper voltage and the same amps as on the current fan motor. The motor can be replaced without the necessity of buying a fan blade too, this can make the installation go smoother and cheaper too.
Some clues to watch for in a failing cooling fan motor
- The main cooling motor begins to smoke makes a zapping sound while it is spinning
- The SPT motor does not move the blade
- An unknown rubbing noise when the cooling fan starts or stops
