A transformer is used for many products which also includes your heating system as it changes a normal current of electricity usually from a higher voltage to a lower voltage. Transformers are all different so make sure you meet the electrical requirements. If any transformer needs to be swapped out, make sure to get one that is assessed for the correct voltage that will be needed by the system.
Simple signals the unit transformer will need replacing
- Transformer seems damaged have a burning smell when in use
- Zero volts coming from a main transformer while tested with the unit on
- Flawed voltage can be measured coming from the main transformer
