The fan blade for the outdoor portion of a split system is jobbed with dissipating the large quantity of heat that is released by the compressor. Most blades are built from heavy duty metal, but they may not hold up from time to time for whatever reason.
Clues the cooling blade is going to die
- Fine edges of the fins are wavy or flawed at all
- It appears to be rusted or worn due to an extended period of time in nature
- It appears to severely wobble as it begins spinning outdoors
