The flame sensor is only used on furnaces that burn gas and is one that senses the flame while the system is starting. As expected, if the sensor produces an error everything stops until the problem is dealt with.
Easy warnings the primary flame sensor will eventually need to be replaced
- The heating system is unwilling to ramp up whatsoever
- The gas that has entered the furnace finds it impossible to burn and the main board displays on error code
- The entire heating system will work intermittently only
