The fan blade spins and produces the flow of air that was heated or cooled by the wall unit. The fan blade also draws air inside of the unit which assists in making the whole system from overheating while it is turned on.
Clues to watch for to know the circulating fan blade has very little life left
- The air circulating blade generates a very unhealthy sound when it is spinning down
- The unit finds it difficult to produce a good enough airflow as it tries to achieve the temperature asked for
- The fan blade looks bent or ruined and probably should be replaced
