Sanyo XHS1872 Flame Sensor
A flame sensor is only used on furnaces that burn gas and is one that will sense the proper flame during ignition. As with most devices used for safety reason, if the flame sensor is triggered the system remains completely shut down until the problem is fixed.
How do you know if your flame sensor is almost dead?
- The heating system turns on sporadically barely
- The gas furnace refuses to begin operations at all
- The gas that has entered the furnace refuses to begin igniting and the whole system shuts down
