Sanyo XS1271 Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor on the compressor is in charge of keeping the compressor cool, because a large quantity of heat gets released and that heat must be driven away. The motor can be replaced by itself without the fan blade, this tends to make things easier and helps you save some money. Be sure you are able to buy one with the same voltage and the same amps as it is on the current motor.
Red flags to watch for in a bad fan motor
- The compressor cooling motor smells burnt or throws sparks while it is spinning
- You may hear squeaking sound when the motor is starting or stopping
- The Sanyo motor does not move at all
