Trane GEH Control Board
The control board is designed to command everything including the gas valve, the ignition igniter, most sensors and the blower all at once. Most systems will not operate whatsoever unless this important circuit board is in place and connected. The board that you will choose is supposed to have a part number that matches both the make and model of the unit in question. It is imperative that you select wisely when you decide to replace your control board due to variances between HVAC systems.
General warnings of an inadequate primary control board
- System has a numbered error code appearing on the front of the control board
- The system board needs to be reset many times a day for the thermostat to kick in
- System is unwilling to operate at all
