A conversion kit could allow a furnace to convert burning from a particular energy source to perhaps something cheaper, such as from natural gas that gets pumped to your house to propane that needs to be delivered or some other type of energy depending on what you want. Energy conversion kits do not exist for all furnaces. Buying one is possible for certain types that are built for switching. After you find one and buy it, it may be better to have it set up by someone who has done it before, for the safety of everyone.
