Trane GEV Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor has a unique job of keeping the compressor cool, this is needed because of the heat must be dispelled into the air. Please make sure you get the voltage that is the same as well as amps as it is on the current motor. The motor can be replaced by itself without the fan blade, this makes replacing it a lot easier to do and will not drain your bank account.
Subtle cues to watch for in a bad condenser fan motor
- An unknown crackling noise when the cooling fan is turning
- The Trane motor fails to spin at all
- The cooling motor smells burnt makes a zapping sound when in use
