The control board is created to direct everything including the gas valve, the ignition igniter, all the various sensors and the blower all together. Your system definitely will not run at all unless this board is hooked up and is correctly configured. The selected board should have a replacement part number that matches both the make and model of your particular system. Be very careful when you choose a control board due to differences in models within certain brands.
What are some indications that my main circuit board needs replacing?
