The control board is made to oversee everything including the gas valve, the ignition igniter, all the sensors as well as the air circulator all in one unit. HVAC systems will not activate lest this board is installed. The brand of board you choose should match the model number with both the make and model of HVAC system. You must be sure when choosing a control board because of the diversity of certain brands.
