Trane TCP024F100AB Thermistor
In an HVAC system, a thermistor is a special kind of new age resistor whose rated resistance fluctuates depending on the thermal temperature. They tell the main board when a certain temperature reaches a certain point. The system control board needs to know the temperature in several different areas to understand what is going on.
Major signs the temp-regulating thermister will need to be replaced
- The initial sequence may never begin due to a damaged thermistor
- The blower refuses in its attempt to ramp up
