Trane TCP036F300AC Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor on the compressor has a unique job of cooling the compressor, because as the compressor gets hot the heat energy has to be discharged into the air outside. Be certain the new motor has the same voltage and correct amp current as it is on the bad motor. The motor on the compressor fan can be replaced without the necessity of buying a fan blade too, this results in an easier installation and will not drain your bank account.
What to see if the Trane fan motor is not working right?
- You can hear a scraping sound while the cooling fan starts or stops
- The main cooling motor starts to smoke or throws sparks as it is used
- The Trane motor fails to spin the blade
