Trane TCP042F100AB Thermistor
A thermistor is a thermal resistor, which has a resistance that is contingent on the thermal temperature. They convey to the HVAC system when a certain temperature reaches a certain point. The main control board takes the temperature throughout the whole system to be sure everything is going well.
Clues the temp-regulating thermister is going out
- The heating and AC system may not initiate the starting sequence due to a stuck thermistor
- Primary blower fails in its attempt to ramp up the airflow
