Trane TCP048F300AB Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor on the compressor has the main duty of cooling the outdoor compressor, because a large quantity of heat gets released and that heat has got to be dispelled into the air. It is important that the replacement motor has the correct voltage listed and the proper amount of amperage as it is on the current motor. The motor can be replaced individually as this results in an easier installation and cheaper too.
How can I tell if my cooling fan motor is failing?
- The Trane motor does not move the blade
- An unknown squeaking sound while the motor starts or stops
- The main cooling motor starts to smoke makes a zapping sound when it is spinning
