Trane TCP060F300AB Transformer
A basic electrical transformer is quite common in electrical appliances including your AC or furnace as it changes a normal current of electricity to a different voltage, 120V to 12V, for example. Heating and cooling transformers may have specific specs and must adhere to strict voltage readings. If you are going to replace a transformer, it would be a good idea to buy one that is assessed for the right voltage value that is demanded.
Clues of a declining unit transformer
- The transformer looks as if it has melted slightly or you may see sparks while electricity is running through it
- Little or no power measured from the system transformer whatsoever
- Many different volts is calculated stemming from the transformer
