Trane TWR036D100A0 Limit Switch
A normal limit switch is a switch in the air handler that senses, or governs, if and when the air is warm enough for the main blower to kick in and circulate the air. One big reason why limit switches are designed that way is because if the warmed air is too cool the you will lose all the heat as the air flows through the ducts.
What warnings should I watch out for to know if my limit switch is not working properly?
- The Trane system is beginning to erratically on more than one occasion
- Your Trane system will not initiate or will not stay running like it should
