Trane XR15 Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor is responsible for cooling the compressor, this is crucial due to the large amounts of heat that needs to be dispelled into the air. Just make sure the new motor has the voltage that is the same and the correct amp listing as on the current fan motor. The motor can be replaced without needing to replace the fan blade, this may make it a lot easier and cheaper too.
Important hints your fan motor has little life left
- The main cooling motor smells burnt makes a zapping sound while in use
- An unknown rubbing or scraping sound while the motor is beginning to turn
