A changeable air filter has a main job of filtering out dust and other unwanted bits as it passes through. This filtering system will help keep the unit clean and make it operate more efficient while cleaning the air in your home. Because of this, this filter should really be swapped out for a new one or possible scrubbed clean at least twice a year if not more, depending on how much you use it.
Cues of a defective main filter
- If you hold it up to the light, it does not shine through to the other side of a dirt-packed filter
- The system filter looks very bad and could be replaced as soon as humanly possible
- It is highly advised to replace the filter every three months to help prevent mold and bacteria build-up
