Whirlpool ATE0743RPP0 Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor is primarily in charge of cooling the compressor, because a large quantity of heat gets released and that heat energy has to be dispelled into the air. Be certain you buy a replacement motor with the similar voltage and the correct amp listing as on the current fan motor. The motor can be replaced on its own as this tends to make installing it easier and it is something you can do yourself.
How do you know when your main cooling fan motor is in need of a replacement?
- The Whirlpool motor does not move at all
- You may hear crackling noise while the motor is starting or stopping
- The motor begins to smoke makes a zapping sound as it is used
