The ignition control board was always an important electronic safety board that some companies have moved to be a piece of the main circuit board instead of having two separate boards.

- Any other problem in the system checks out in fine condition
- The initial signal from the thermostat never makes it to the main board
- Ignition system is unwilling to launch even when the thermostat kicks it on
